Shortly after the show, Hunger issued her first studio effort “Monday’s Ghost” on Two Gentlemen Records, earning widespread critical acclaim. In 2007 Hunger contributed her talents to multi-instrumentalist Christian Prader’s national tour, before performing with her own band in the Miles Davis Hall at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2008. Featuring Hunger playing the guitar, harp, piano, and singing in multiple languages, the musician’s home-recorded debut “Sketches on Sea” arrived in 2006 and earned a re-release the following year. In 2004 Hunger became the lead singer of the indie-rock outfit Fisher, before the group’s ultimate disbandment in 2007. Having learned to play the piano at a young age, her earliest musical excursion came as a guest vocalist for the group Superterz on their releases from 2002. Born a diplomat's daughter in Bern, Switzerland, Hunger’s musical influences stemmed from her father’s interest in jazz, but later grew to include R&B, hip-hop, rock, as well as country and bluegrass.
